Children Under the Age of Three

On September 1, 2011 a court will be required to consider thirteen (13) factors when making a decision on custody of a child under three years of age. The law, Senate Bill Number 820, will become effective on September 1, 2011, however, it will be applicable to a suit affecting the parent-child relationship that is pending in a trial court in addition to any case filed after September 1, 2011.
